A new mobile health vehicle traveling to Rio Vista twice a week is providing Kaiser Permanente patients with easier access to routine health screenings and other preventative care.

The mobile health vehicle is 40 feet long with two exam rooms and operates like a mobile medical office. Services include primary care, flu shots and other vaccinations (excluding the COVID-19 vaccine), as well as health screenings. Clinicians have access to Kaiser Permanente’s electronic health record system allowing them to update patients’ medical records.

“At Kaiser Permanente, we are committed to providing our members with health care services that are easily accessible. This new mobile health vehicle enables us to travel to this community, providing the same high-quality health care our members and patients receive when they visit any of our facilities,” Nor Jemjemian, senior vice president and area manager, Kaiser Permanente Napa-Solano said in a press statement.

Rio Vista is located along the Delta in the eastern-most portion of the Kaiser Permanente Napa Solano service area, up to 40 miles away from the nearest medical facility, making it challenging for some to access routine medical care.
